Sundt is requesting Bids for the Morse High School Phase III DSA Approved Project. This project consists of the New Administration Building, Theatre and Site Improvements Phase III, B1800 & Portable B34 Renovation and Off-Site Utilities.
The New Administration Building is a 11,655 SF two-story steel-framed building that will house admin offices, nurse & health offices, lounge, workroom, psychology offices, counseling offices and student services.
The Performing Arts Center is a 24,416 SF structural steel/masonry building that will house a 480-seat theater, orchestra pit & stage. Sound mixing and theater control rooms are provided as well as a separate black box is included in this project scope as well. Interior includes a main lobby, restrooms, ticket booth and concession areas.
Site improvements for the admin building and PAC includes construction of a new Northwest Parking Lot, alterations to campus quad site work including new covered shelter, kiosk and demoliton of existing building 700 and attached covered walkways. There will also be new utility services to the admin and PAC building including new main fire and irrigation lines looping around the entire campus. Alteration to the existing site to address ADA path of travel and affected wokr of building modernization work as well.
B1800 & Portable B34 Renovation includes renovation of B1800 classrooms & restrooms, added sink, finishes and utilities in B34. Also, scope includes site utilites and accessible path of travel.
Off-Site Utility work will be completed too.
Sundt is requesting bids are due no later than Thursday, January 13th at 2PM. Sundt will accept electronically via email or sealed hard copy bids to 1660 Hotel Circle North, Suite 400, San Diego, CA 92108.
There will be two opportunities to attend a jobsite walk:
MANDATORY for the following bidders; 01A Site Provisions, 01E Furniture Moving, 02A Demo & Abatement, 26A Electrical, 31A Earthwork, and 32D Fences.
- Wednesday, December 8th at 9:00AM
- Wednesday, December 15th at 8:30AM
The RFI Deadline is December 20th at 4PM.
Also, if you have not done so already, please ensure that your company is prequalified with San Diego Unified School District no later than Monday, December 27th. If you are unsure of your prequalificaiton status, please contact Elizabeth Tague at eetague@sundt.com.
